OCHAP | Office for Cohabitation Processes is an architectural design and research office established by Valerio Franzone and based in New York and Rome.

OCHAP investigates architecture's role, limits, and potential to explore possible cohabitation typologies and strategies at multiple scales. Shape, tectonics, program, and processuality become devices to envision the cohabitation between natural and artificial systems, and their intertwined ecological, cultural, social, economic, technological, and political processes. By understanding the limits and feasibility of the proposed models, cohabitation processes develop the potential of architecture to oppose individualistic, colonial, and extractive approaches.
OCHAP works on the intersections between architecture, humanity, and nature to nurture the built environment's relational and sustainable character.
OCHAP rethinks the status quo of architecture to tackle the urgencies and meanings of societies and ecosystems and imagine possible world-making alternatives.
Architecture is action, not just representation.
