A conversation with Lydia Kallipoliti and Carson Chan on the relationships between architecture and the environment. Both the recent book Histories of Ecological Design - An Unfinished Cyclopedia (Actar, 2024) by Lydia Kallipoliti and the agenda of The Emilio Ambasz Institute for the Joint Study of the Built and the Natural Environment directed by Carson Chan extend from ongoing investigations into the relationships between architecture, the environment, science and politics. Such histories contribute to establishing various roles for architects, as researchers, educators or practitioners who can participate in possible reworlding, addressing not only the environment but also issues of equity and justice.
